SB 3 also extends the California Paid Sick Leave law to now apply to in-home support service (IHSS) providers, beginning on July 1, 2018, as follows: Eight (8) hours or one day of sick leave per year beginning July 1, 2018. An increase of $1.50 per hour up to a maximum of $19.00 per hour will be provided to all individuals providing publicly funded personal support services in the home and community care sector.Â This follows through on the PSW wage enhancements originally announced in April 2014.
