Audacity is numero uno. It's sound capture, sound enhancement, and anything else right down to editing sounds, is just the best. It works fast, saves easily, turns some terrible sounding music to great or bearable, assuming you know how to use it of course. Audacity is only as good as the user, meaning, get to know it, it won't disappoint!

After looking into this further, it appears Audacity doesn't pick up the Realtek device as a recording option either, just another source of playback instead of the speakers. I'm guessing the integrated sound card won't be capable in this situation.

I've tried, doing some testing for a friend, to use Audacity with my USB connected recording interface devices and even with the recording device set as default recording device Audacity will still not use it.
